Using a 28 channel location recording rig, based on Focusrite and Audient Burr-Brown PCM4204 analogue to digital conversion and Focusrite ISA preamps, I bring the recording studio to you, which saves costs on studio rental without sacrificing quality.
With this service, which is offered across the island of Ireland, you can realise your project while staying budget friendly. With the recording complete, you can then benefit from the Online Audio Services which I also specialise in.
With a professional quality audio production studio based out of Edenderry in County Offaly, I can accommodate small scale recordings such as singer songwriters, trad groups and ensembles.
By investing in the highest quality equipment, the studio is kitted out with the legendary Focursrite ISA preamps and microphones such as the AKG C414. This means your recording project will be of the highest technical standards.
Studio recording can benefit musicians and groups who wish to have the full studio treatment, who may also not have a good space to record in. Coupled with my location recording services, bands and large groups can make use of large live rooms for drums while then moving to my Edenderry studio for tracking of other instrumentation, meaning you only pay for studio rental for what you really need.
All recordings are edited, mixed and mastered in this space where you are free to visit to be a part of the process.
For larger recording projects, such as choirs, classical ensembles and bands with drummers, I have linked up with the Crookedwood Farm studios at Slane. The studios feature a fantastic barn conversion which contains some amazing live rooms, perfect for large groups and amazing drum sounds.
The studios also offer rehearsal and accommodation for longer recording sessions. Please get in touch for more information about any services mentioned on the page.
Prices and Information
All rates can be found here.
Seven days a week, across the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.
Daily Maximum Pricing:
A daily price is simply a charge for a days worth of recording, whether that be eight or twelve hours in length.
A days worth of recording is considered to be whatever is required to get the job done, within reason. This means that musicians do not have to watch the clock and can look forward to capped costs. Of course, if the project takes less than a full day, then you will be charged accordingly as per the hourly rate.
The Recording Process
If you have a musical, radio or other kind of audio recording project all you need to do is get in touch.
From then, pre-production discussions will outline the best venues and the equipment requirements. For example, if you are looking for your choir or string quartet to get recorded; we will discuss your rehearsal facilities and local community buildings such as churches as venues.
We can discuss bringing you into my main studio or whether a mobile recoriding is needed; even your own home can be a great place to record. By using acoustic treatment and the highest quality microphones coupled with specialised microphone techniques, even the most unsuspecting places can become recording studios!
Costs and Advantages
Recording costs are clearly presented; there are no hidden costs and I ensure to get as much as reasonably possible done in the space of a day. There is no need to watch and worry about the clock; whatever it takes to meet the days aims before getting tired is what is done.
The upside to mobile recording is that you can perform in a space which you are comfortable in and which is local to you. Coupled with professional level equipment, the best possible performance can be recorded in high quality.
